Scone and Upper Hunter Historical Society
The Scone and Upper Hunter Historical Society has a wealth of local historical information and artifacts. The local volunteers are always ready to help with research requests.
The Scone and Upper Hunter Museum is housed in the old lock-up which was built in 1848. The old Sergeant’s Residence is located next door to the Museum and now used as a the Research Centre by the Society.
The Museum has various items on display relating to Scone and district permanently on display and special exhibitions for Australia Day and the Scone and Upper Hunter Horse Festival.
Admission: Adults $2, Child 50c and Family $5.
