The Scone and Upper Hunter Historical Society has a wealth of local historical information and artifacts. The local volunteers are always ready to help with research requests.
The Historical Society was founded in March 1956 and is run by an enthusiastic group of volunteers who take great care in preserving and documenting local history.
The volunteers spend much of their time at the Sergeant’s Residence Research Centre assisting people researching local and family history in the Upper Hunter area. Research fees apply, please click on the Membership tab for more information.
