After-hours GP Helpline
The helpline is staffed by nurses and GP’s to provide out of hours health advice. The service is for non-urgent conditions which can be treated by a doctor during normal work hours. There is NO 24 medical practice in the Scone area. For after hours medical treatment you can go to a local hospital.

Alcohol and Drug Information Service
A 24 hour, NSW statewide telephone service providing education, information, referral, crisis counselling and support about illegal drugs such as heroin, ice and cannabis, and legal drugs such as alcohol. Calls are confidential and anonymous. Further online information: www.yourroom.com.au.

Karitane Careline
Child and family health nurses assist with a wide range of issues relating to infants and children from birth to five years of age including sleeping routines, toilet training, feeding, behaviours, development milestones and common childhood illness. The service operates seven days a week. An email service is also available but responses may take one to two days.

MotherSafe
MotherSafe provides advice for women and healthcare practitioners about exposures during pregnancy and breastfeeding, including prescription medications, over-thee-counter medications, street drugs, infections, radiation and occupational exposures. The service operates Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm.

NSW Poisons Information Line
Advice on human poisoning for the general public and health professionals. It operates out of the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and is a 24 hour service. The service does NOT provide advice for poisoned pets and you are advised to contact your local veterinary clinic.

Incorporating the National Sexual Assault, Domestic and Family Violence counselling line. Operating 24 hours.
