Snow falls on the Barrington

Filed in Just In by June 10, 2021

APPROXIMATELY 8 to 10 centimetres of snow has fallen on the Barrington, down to 1,200 metres.

It began snowing at yesterday afternoon and continued falls are forecast. See images from Tomulla below.

The Barrington Tops Forest Road is closed from Gloucester in the east and while people can access the Tops from Scone, people are warned the conditions may be dangerous even with 4-wheel-drives and are recommended to head to more accessible areas to see the snow such as Nundle and Nowendoc (Read: Warning to snow chasers – Barrington Road still closed)

PLEASE do not attempt to go to the Barrington in a 2-wheel-drive during these conditions.
