SCHOOL holiday activities begin next Tuesday, with an array of exciting things on offer for Upper Hunter kids.

The Scone Out of School Hours (SHOOSH) vacation care is holding an easter hat parade on Tuesday and an easter egg hunt next Friday, April 9.

Aberdeen Public School are hosting a holiday camp full of sport and musical activities on April 13 and on April 15, Upper Hunter Youth Services are holding a free family fun day at the Muswellbrook Show ground.

Children aged between 12 and 17 can also attend a special drone workshop on April 15 from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at the Aberdeen Bowling Club, Jefferson Park.

There is a $5 entry fee, with lunch provided on the day and transport available from the Scone, Murrurundi and Merriwa Youth Centres. 

Bookings are essential and must be made by Monday, April 12, as transportation spots are limited.

SHOOSH activities:

• Monday, 5 April 2021 Public Holiday CLOSED FOR EASTER MONDAY
• Tuesday, 6 April 2021 Easter Hat Parade Children will have the opportunity to create an Easter hat using many different materials. We will then do a Easter hat parade and record it for parents to view on story park;
• Wednesday, 7 April 2021 Build it Day Today children will have the opportunity to engage in a range of activities that are based around construction and challenges;
• Thursday, 8 April 2021 Master Chef Educators will hold a master class then the children will have the opportunity to join in;
• Friday, 9 April 2021 Easter Egg Hunt Scavenger hunt style with prizes;
• Monday, 12 April 2021 Winter Wonderland Children assisted by educators will create a snow sensory experience to explore; Followed by a relaxing hot chocolate in the afternoon;
• Tuesday, 13 April 2021 Movie & Popcorn The Croods: A New Age The children will enjoy a relaxing day wrapping Easter celebrations with an Easter movie HOP and some popcorn;
• Wednesday, 14 April, 2021 Camp Day Enjoy all things outdoors – s’mores, campfire songs around our dramatic play campfire, followed by some creative lantern making;
• Wednesday, 14 April, 2021 Tennis Clinic The tennis clinic will be held at St Mary’s by Chris Herden from Hotshots. An extra charge of $15 per child will be applied;
• Thursday, 15 April 2021 Icky, Sticky Day Children can engage in a number of sensory/ messy play activities;
• Friday, 16 April 2021 Disco To celebrate the end of vacation care we will have a disco dance party with a sausage sizzle.

Price: $65.00 per child per day. Excursions and special activities may require an additional fee.
