YESTERDAY afternoon and throughout the evening more rain swept through the district.
The Bureau of Meteorology recorded the following rainfalls:
- Aberdeen: 34
- Blandford: 21
- Bunnan: 38
- Ellerston: 16
- Glenbawn: 38
- Merriwa: 40 and 58
- Moonan: 19
- Murrurundi: 23
- Parkville: 36
- Rouchel: 29
- Scone: 29
- Upper Rouchel: 33
- Wingen: 28
MANY local rivers and creeks sprung back to strong flows following isolated heavy showers and storms yesterday afternoon and into the early evening.
THE Bureau of Meteorology measured the following rainfalls until 9am this morning:
- Aberdeen: 11
- Blandford: 14
- Bunnan: 8
- Ellerston: 4
- Glenbawn: 9
- Kars Springs: 2
- Merriwa: 6
- Moonan: 5.8
- Murrurundi: 21
- Parkville: 12
- Rouchel: 7.8
- Upper Rouchel: 7.6
- Wingen: 12
There was further rainfall in the past 24 hours and while there was great variability in the rainfalls,
THE weather will be mostly cloudy with a few showers today across the Upper Hunter.
THE Bureau of Meteorology has advised today will bring the heaviest rainfalls, with showers persisting throughout the weekend and into early next week.
KINGDON Ponds has begun to fall, following it reaching a peak of approximately 3.6 metres at 8am this morning.
