MANY local rivers and creeks sprung back to strong flows following isolated heavy showers and storms yesterday afternoon and into the early evening.

The Bureau of Meteorology measured the following rainfalls until 9am this morning:

• Bunnan: 43
• Ellerston: 20
• Glenbawn: 9.4
• Kars Springs: 25
• Merriwa: 21
• Moonan: 19
• Murrurundi: 38
• Parkville: 30
• Rouchel: 13
• Scone: 24
• Upper Rouchel: 18
• Wingen: 32
