Fire: SHELTER IN PLACE WARNING
NSW Rural Fire Services have just confirmed they are issuing a SHELTER IN PLACE warning for all residents east of Scone, north of Gundy Road to Segenhoe.
The fire has grown to more than 100 hectares and is headed in an easterly direction.
A large air tanker is being deployed and crews from Tamworth to Newcastle are on their way.
UPDATE: 2:55pm: White Park is open as a safe place to residents needing to bring their horses. For more information phone: Fire downgraded to watch and act.
Update: 6pm: Fire crews arriving at properties near containment lines.
