News ArchivesHUNTER New England Health have confirmed a case of covid has been identified in Muswellbrook.
THE state has reached 82.2 percent first vaccination and 52.7 percent second vaccination.
Vaccinations became available for 12 to 15 year olds last week and is already at 20 percent first dose.

THE Premier said the government is working towards reopening international borders when the state reaches 80 percent double vaccination and will be trialing a home quarantine system beginning at the end of the month.

THERE were 12 local government areas which came out of lockdown today, including the Upper Hunter Shire Council.

DEPUTY Premier John Barilaro is at this morning’s media conference and Minister for Health Brad Hazzard has said there will be good news announced for regional areas.

AT a 76.3 percent vaccination rate, the Upper Hunter Shire area is above the regional average of 73.7 percent and on track to be protected when restrictions lift and the virus spreads.

THIS morning Premier Gladys Berejiklian confirmed there would be law at 70 percent vaccination requiring all businesses to be vaccinated and most retail and hospitality venues will not be able to accept customers who are unvaccinated.

ANOTHER two cases have been identified in the Singleton Shire, bringing the current total to four cases.
