THE rain yesterday brought plenty of snow to the Barrington last night with the strong westerly winds piling up one metre of snow in some places.
THE Barrington Tops is predicted to receive snow flurries this weekend, with snow forecast to fall above 12oo metres.
SCATTERED showers provided the Upper Hunter with some nice Winter rainfall totals this week, with warm temperatures and mostly sunny skies expected over the weekend.
APPROXIMATELY 8 to 10 centimetres of snow has fallen on the Barrington, down to 1,200 metres.
WITH snow predicted on the Barrington Tops this week, residents are reminded Barrington Tops Forest Road has been closed since March and remains at high risk of collapse.

NSW Police has advised the Scone – Gloucester Road, over the Barrington Tops, is closed due to a landslip.
