What’s On- Your weekend in the Upper Hunter
ITS all about cinema and circus in the Upper Hunter this weekend, with the matinee thriller ‘The Courier’ starring Benedict Cumberbatch screening in Scone and the Hudson Circus performing at the Muswellbrook Showground.
Scone Films is hosting an afternoon of M rated intrigue and cold war espionage on Sunday, June 20, at a pop-up community cinema located on the corner of Oxford Road and Cooper Street, Scone.
Doors will open at 2pm and afternoon tea will be available to purchase for $5 before the film is screened at 2.30pm.
Families can settle in for a two-hour traditional style Circus with a modern twist featuring daredevils, hilarious clowns and animal acts.
Tickets range from $15 to $40 for children and $25 to $60 for adults, with family packages also available.
NSW Dine and Discovery vouchers can be used to purchase tickets however, they are only accepted at face-to-face sales at the Muswellbrook Showground Box Office.
The Scone Tennis Camp also starts on Monday, with daily sessions available for kids aged between four and fourteen.
The camp is run by Tennis Club Australia professional Chris Harden and also includes a mix of cricket, soccer and t-ball drills to help develop hand-eye coordination.
Sessions cost $15 per day or $74 for the week for ages four to five and $20 per day or $100 for the week for those aged six to 14.
