Weather: The week ahead

THE Upper Hunter is expected to experience some serious thunderstorm activity this week, with storms predicted right through until Friday.

A western inland trough coupled with warm temperatures and humidity is likely to bring rainfall today, tomorrow and Wednesday, with up to 15 millimetres predicted to fall each day.

Thursday will be the wettest day, with the Upper Hunter expected to receive between 15 and 20 millimetres of rainfall.

Possible light showers to continue on Friday and Sunday. 

A maximum temperature of 30 today in Scone.

The Glenbawn Dam is currently at 50.6 percent capacity, only 0.1 percent higher than last week.
