Veteran’s Golf: October 15

Twenty-five Vets gathered at Denman Golf Club on a delightful day for their stableford event. The course was relishing the good fall of rain last weekend.
Ross Banks made it two wins in a row when he recorded an eagle and four birdies for 39 points, on a count-back from Gary Ashmead also 39. Third was Terry Mitchell 38, 4th Gary Morley 36 C/B and 5th Rod Upton 36.
Balls went to President Paul Gorman 36, Martin Byrne 35 and Gary Gray, Captain Phil Ledgerwood and Graham Turvey 34.
The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Graham Boles.
Nearest the Pins: 2nd shot on the 3rd was shared by Des Partridge and Kevin Warby who were both in the hole for birdie twos 5th Kevin Warby 12th and 14th Ross Banks

- October 22 at Aberdeen, stroke and putting plus the AGM and the final for the Jack White Trophy;
- October 29 at Murrurundi, STFD TBC;
- November 5 at Muswellbrook, STFD for the Col Hunter Shield;
- November 12 STFD, at Scone. Note that the green fees are $15 cash and there is a $5 cost for the ball comp at Scone.
