Upper Hunter 24 hour rainfall totals

SCONE was blessed with 24.2 millimetres of rainfall during the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall total in the shire.

Parkville recorded the second highest reading of 13.6 millimetres, closely followed by Blandford and Wingen which received 9.8 and 9.0 millimetres respectively.

The remainder of the Upper Hunter received pockets of light rainfall, with the exception of Cassilis which recorded zero rainfall.

A medium chance of showers is predicted for this afternoon, with possible thunderstorms during the evening and overnight.

Rainfall and thunderstorm activity is expected to continue until Friday and pick up again on Sunday.

Glenbawn Dam is currently sitting at 50.6 percent capacity.
