Travel at 70 percent
THE rules have changed several times and no doubt will continue to change, but while 70 percent was the time when people could travel throughout the state, last week it was announced Sydney residents could not travel to the regions until 80 percent and now further restrictions are in place for Monday.
Added to the list of regions which are considered Greater Sydney is: the Central Coast, Wollongong, Shellharbour and the Blue Mountains.
Regional residents are not allowed to travel to Greater Sydney unless it is for essential work, to attend a funeral or memorial service or for goods or services they can not otherwise obtain regionally.
Other travel rules at 70 percent:
- Travel holidays between regional local government areas are permitted.
- Carpooling permitted (members of your household only for people who are not fully vaccinated).
- Caravan parks and camping grounds reopen (including for people who are not fully vaccinated).
Please note: The rules are now changing constantly and many things are unclear. Even people working within Health are seeking clarification on a range of ever-changing rules and at this stage.
