Stock Report: Nov 12
By Stuart Sheldrake
THERE was a yarding of approximately 850 cattle this week.
The export market was dearer by about 5 to 10 cents, but the trade cattle were slightly cheaper.
The market was slightly easy, due to the forecast weather conditions of continuing dry conditions.
Lighter cattle are already tough to sell in our area, because there is no feed to go onto.
There were a few orders coming out of the south, but they are drying up a bit because their season is coming to a halt.
Those lighter cattle will probably continue to ease.
There is still good money for feeder types, so anything over 300 plus kilos, but lighter cattle are getting tough to sell.
