SATURDAY June 6 was a perfect day for a game of golf at Scone.
A good field for a long weekend of forty-four players (42 men and 2 ladies), who took advantage of the ideal conditions to play an 18 Hole Stableford sponsored by Captain’s Ross and Lyn Banks.
The morning players had it a little fresh but soon warmed up.
The course continues to be well presented with the greens especially running true and fast, testing the judgment of the golfers.
Chris Wilson had the best round of the day with 41 points and this won him the first place prize by one point from Justin Smart who had 40 points and shot a fine par round.
Les Cottam on 39 points was the third-place prize winner beating Alan Wood and George Davidson on a countback.
