Lyn Banks was next best with 74 nett.

Balls went to those players plus Marie Murray, Noreen Marshall and Jo Brown.

The NTP on the 2nd / 11th wasn’t won but Sarah Howey putted in from just off the green on the 2nd to claim the birdie box of 8 balls.

The A Grade winner was Mick Reynolds, Phil McGuirk won B Grade and C Grade went to George Campbell.

This gained him a dozen balls from the Eagle’s Nest kindly donated by Adrian Fuller.

Next Saturday the men play round 1 of the Club Championships for the Bill Pumpa Trophy.

This will be followed by round 2 on Sunday for the Jim Elder Trophy. The Championships will be played in three grades and the senior division as scratch and nett events.

There is also the highly sought after overall nett prize for the Ray Weekes Cup.

Rounds 3 and 4 will be played on October 22 and 23.

16 golfers took advantage of the start of daylight saving to have their first game of the season in the social 9 hole competition last Wednesday.

Play from the red (short course) tees, only $10 per outing, good prizes, open to all players and the social concept, are the attractions of the competition.

If you are new to the game, pay at the bar and the organiser will allocate you a handicap.
