THIS week there will be roadwork on the New England Highway in Scone and Blandford.

On Tuesday, between 12pm and 6pm work will occur on the Blandford Bridge and on Wednesday at the Burning Mountain Rail Bridge between 7am and 6pm, to repair joint plates and bolts.

There will be some lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 kilometres an hour during the road work.

Also on Wednesday, between 8am and 5pm, survey work will take place on the highway approximately 1.5 kilometres south of Gundy Road in Scone as part of the bypass design investigations.

Work will include the use of a vacuum truck to remove and replace small sections of soil to locate underground services in the area.

Motorists are warned to expect delays of 10 minutes, with possible lane closures and 40 kilometre an hour speed limits in place.
