Police confirm fines issued locally for covid breaches
YESTERDAY police confirmed they issued a penalty infringement notice to a man and a woman from Sydney’s east who travelled to the Denman pony club and also fined them for not wearing masks.
Following an anonymous phone call to Crime Stoppers, local police attended the pony club at approximately 3:20pm and located the 56 year old man, 22 year old woman and a 13 year old girl in the car park and were not wearing face masks.
The man and girl were from Paaddington, the woman from Maroubra and by travelling to Denman, they had breached the stay at home order which was in place last week for their local government areas, attracting a fine of $1000.
For failing to wear a fitted face mask the adults were fined a further $200 and the girl was issued with a warning.
