Weather: The week ahead

PARTLY cloudy conditions in the Scone this morning, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 16 degrees.

A high pressure system is making its way from the east coast however, showers are unlikely to reach Scone.

A second trough will come through on Wednesday and Thursday, with rainfall predicted on Thursday and Friday.

The Upper Hunter is expected to receive a minimum of three to five millimetres across the two days.

Rain is expected to clear by Saturday however, cold winds are expected to remain, causing a significant drop in temperature for the weekend.

Sunday will see temperatures drop to a minimum of one degree, with frosty morning conditions.

Glenbawn Dam is currently sitting at 59.5 percent capacity, a 1.2 percent increase since last week.

  • Tuesday: 6-18
  • Wednesday: 5-18
  • Thursday: 5-19
  • Friday: 7-19
  • Saturday: 5-17
  • Sunday: 1-15
