Trained by Peter Snowden and owned by Greg and Donna Kolivos, Pajaro narrowly beat out one of the favourites Amovatio, with Malice a close third.

Peter Snowden was born and bred in Scone so winning here holds special meaning for him.

“I left here at 32 but it’s lovely to win back home” said Mr Snowden.

Peter has been out on his own now for two years and is based at Randwick with smaller numbers in his stable enabling him to connect with the owners.

Greg and Donna have had a previous champion Pierro who now resides in the Hunter Valley after being sold to Coolmore.

“The owners are really wonderful people and didn’t think they would have two winners like that” Peter Snowden said.
