Merriwa case was infectious in the community

HUNTER New England Health have confirmed the new covid case in Merriwa was infectious in the community.

Anyone with even the mildest symptoms, including a scratchy throat, should immediately be tested for covid and self isolate. 

Close contacts have been traced and once risk assessments are complete, any exposure venues will be announced.

The new case identified in Singleton today was also infectious in the community and the new case in Muswellbook was in isolation.
