Merriwa Cattle Missing – Police Seeking Assistance
TWENTY-five cattle that are due to start calving this month have been missing from a Merriwa property on Mount Erin Road since March this year.

The cows are aged between seven and eleven and comprise of at least twelve grey Charolais cross Angus, five Herefords, two black Angus and one Hereford cross Angus.
Investigators from the Rural Crime Prevention Team at Hunter Valley are seeking public assistance in relation to the theft and want to speak to anyone who has seen suspicious activity in or around the Merriwa area.
All cattle are branded on the rear left side with the letters ‘RPN’, with a horizontal bar across the top of the ‘R’.
The cattle are also ear marked with a ‘V’ on the left ear and fitted with NLIS buttons on the right side of the ear.
