Glenbawn Cottage Open for Inspection
THE newly finished Glenbawn Cottage at Strathearn is open for inspection and will soon be ready for new residents.
Glenbawn House can house sixteen residents in state of the art facilities that are not clinical and feature modern design living areas, gardens and large open plan spacious bedrooms and hallways.
Jenni Cobeanou, Residential Care Manager at Strathearn House is excited to open Glenbawn Cottage as part of the next step in providing local aged care options and also to provide employment opportunities for local people.
“Glenbawn Cottage will open for residents on the 29th January but is now open for inspection,” Jenni said.
“There are sixteen rooms in Glenbawn, it has been designed to look like a home, it has a normal kitchen, dining area and laundry and every room has their own ensuite.
“We have had a lot of interest coming from local hospitals and other aged care facilities in the area and we are currently recruiting staff and hoping to give emplyment opportunities to local people as well.
“Hammond Care is happy to give everyone the opportunity to stay locally when their time comes to enter into aged care.
“There is another cottage upstairs, Barrington Cottage that will open later next year so we are looking forward to providing more local facilities for residents and their families,” Jenni Cobeanou said.
