Farnsworth Charged with Bandidos Bikie Murder

BRIAN Anthony Farnsworth, a 35-year-old-man from Harden, has been charged with the murder of Shane De Britt, President of the Central West Chapter of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG). 

Mr Farnsworth was arrested at a Muswellbrook petrol station yesterday and charged with murder and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

His matter was heard at Muswellbrook Local Court today however, Mr Farnsworth was not brought before the court and remains in custody.

At approximately 10.50am on Tuesday, January 14 police and emergency services responded to reports of a man who had been shot at a property on Catombal Road, Eurimbla.

Orana Mid-Western Police officers attended the scene and found 60-year-old Shane De Britt inside the home, with a gunshot wound to the head.

Mr Farnsworth is the ninth person to be charged in relation to the murder, seven men aged between 58 and 22 and a 34-year-old woman have also been arrested.

Mr Farnsworth did not applied for bail and his matter was adjourned to November 25 at Dubbo.
