Covid case in Scone

HUNTER New England Health has advised of the 10 new cases of covid identified today, one case is in Scone.

There are currently 405 active cases in Hunter New England Health.

EDITORIAL NOTE: Unfortunately a friend of mine passed away in Bathurst and at the wake one person later tested positive to covid. Fortunately, we were all vaccinated, including the person with Covid and  even the people closest to the infected person, tested negative. Vaccinations work and we have more than 95 percent of people in our community vaccinated. It is something to be really proud of and means we can remain calm about a case of covid in our community. If you have even the slightest symptoms get tested and follow the health advice. And keep practicing proper infection control, because there are people in our community who may be vaccinated, but still have significant underlying health conditions, so we need to help keep them safe also.
