Cali in Singleton slapped with fines
THE Caledonian Hotel in Singleton which had prominent signage on its balcony stating “jab or no jab, all welcome at the Cali free Australia,” has been fined by police for having unvaccinated staff and not taking reasonable steps to ensure unvaccinated adults were not in their business.
Yesterday police issued a $1000 fine to a 57 year old male licencee and a 54 year old employee for being unvaccinated and a fine for not taking reasonable steps to ensure unvaccinated customers were at the business.
The venue has numerous posts on their Facebook page stating they will defy the public health orders, which they describe as discriminatory and encouraged support from their customers:
“…a big THANK YOU to the 100s of thousands of businesses business owners and their families for standing strong and tall in what can only be described as an evil and disgusting act being carried out upon our fellow citizens. Thank you for standing for freedom of choice freedom of movement freedom to speak freedom to work freedom to provide freedom to travel freedom to question freedom to have an opinion and all other freedoms that are our god given rights and especially standing against any form whatsoever of DISCRIMINATION.”
