Bunnan Drought Recovery Ladies Day
THE Scone and District Country Women’s Association (CWA) is holding a Drought Recovery Ladies Day next Friday, May 28 at the Bunnan Memorial Hall.
See event details below.
President of the Scone and District CWA, Lin Tout said the luncheon is a chance for ladies to have fun and forget worries about drought, floods, fire or Covid-19.
“It’s a fun and friendship day for ladies to attend and forget about their worries. We just want everybody to have a really fun day,” Ms Tout said.
“We always have lovely home cooking, morning tea and lunch. We’ll also have luck door prizes and activities, so there’s entertainment,” she said.
“We do have a guest speaker, Marina Lee-Warner, she’s got a great personal story. It’s a heavy topic, but we’re trying to keep it light because she works at the women’s refuge in Muswellbrook. She’ll tell her story and how it led to her current role, she’s a very interesting and dynamic lady,” she said.
The Bunnan Drought Recovery Ladies Day kicks off with coffee and tea at 10:30 am, with guest speaker Marina Lee-Warner beginning her presentation at 11am.
Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to Sue Lewis on 0437 916582 or via email at: su.lu2112@gmail.com by next Monday, June 14.
