Cyclist near Scone airlifted

AT approximately 10.15 this morning local ambulance and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter responded to a 63 year old man who was involved in a cycling accident after crossing a cattle grid on Middlebrook Road outside Scone.

The man was treated by the aircraft Critical Care Team for suspected spinal injuries and abrasions.

He has been airlifted in a stable condition to the John Hunter Hospital.
