Muswellbrook locks down at 6pm
MUSWELLBROOK and Port Macquarie will go into lockdown, under stay at home orders, for seven days, beginning at 6pm today.
These orders will apply to anyone who has been to Muswellbrook since September 22, or Port Macquarie since September 17.
NSW Health is concerned there is undetected community transmission and is urging everyone in the community to come forward for testing.
The number of people coming forward for testing will be a key factor in if the lockdown extends beyond seven days.
The more people tested, the more chains of transmission identified, the less likely it is that the lockdown will extend.

NSW Health have also advised higher vaccination rates will also prevent future lockdowns.
