ANOTHER two cases have been identified in the Singleton Shire, bringing the current total to four cases.
The cases were another 12 cases identified throughout the Hunter New England Health District including:
- 7 in the Newcastle LGA
- 3 in the Lake Macquarie LGA

The total number of cases since August 5 in the HNEH district is 324.
Editorial note: Once the state reaches 70 percent vaccination rate for second doses, the government has said restrictions will ease, including travel throughout the state. Currently, lockdown is in place to prevent the virus from spreading and allow people time to access the vaccine. Once enough people are vaccinated, restrictions will lift and the virus will spread. BUT more cases of covid need not be scary if people are protected by the vaccine.
