Severe wind warning for Upper Hunter
THE Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for damaging winds today and tomorrow, with gusts expected to exceed 90 kilometres per hour.
The Upper Hunter may also be subject to gusty showers and thunderstorms during this period, as a deep low pressure system south of the Bight makes its way east, creating a series of troughs and cold fronts with vigorous westerly airflow.
The threat of damaging winds is expected to ease tomorrow, after the front moves through the area.
The next severe weather warning is due to be issued at 5pm.
