Upper Hunter 48 hour rainfall totals

Filed in Just In by July 16, 2021

THE Upper Hunter received patches of rainfall over the past two days, with most areas recording a couple of millimetres.

Stoney Creek recorded 25 millimetres and Blandford and Moonan recorded 8.4 and 7.6 millimetres respectively.

Showers are expected to continue today and tomorrow, as a deep low pressure system makes its way east of the State.

The low pressure system has created a series of troughs and cold fronts, which may also produce thunderstorms and high wind gusts throughout today and tomorrow.

A severe wind warning has been issued for the Upper Hunter and is expected to remain active until tomorrow, after the front moves through the area.

Glenbawn Dam is currently sitting at 61.2 percent capacity.
