Person trapped in accident near Merriwa

AT approximately 2:10pm a truck and car accident occurred on the Golden Highway, 10 kilometres south of Merriwa.

LiveTraffic reports there is a person trapped and emergency services are on scene.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

The diversion recommended by LiveTraffic: Westbound light vehicles diversions via Denman Road through Muswellbrook, New England Hwy through Scone, then Scone to Merriwa Rd. Eastbound is the reverse. Heavy vehicles are held on site.
