By Stuart Sheldrake
THERE were 1,523 cattle yarded in Scone today, which was a slight increase on last week.
The yarding consisted of a few more export cattle, there were 300 there today.
The bull market was firm and so were the cows, plainer cows could have been slightly dearer.
The majority of the yarding was made up of weaner cattle, with weaner cattle starting to feel the pinch with the colder weather starting to set in.
The market was strong, firm to slightly dearer in certain spots.
There were some feeder cattle yarded also and they sold to firm rates.
Very few are finished cattle, compared to what there has been due to the colder weather setting in and what was there sold to fully firm rates also.
