Woman Pleads Not Guilty to Murder
A 43 year old woman appeared in the supreme court today and entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of murdering her daughter, who was a toddler when she was last seen alive.
A trial date has been set for July 17 next year.
Please note: This story has been updated following advice that while there is no suppression order or non-publication order in relation to this case from the Supreme court, the case does relate to a child and even though they may be deceased, it could be argued that naming the mother or the child could breach the children (criminal proceedings) ACT 1987 – Section 15A.
