Woman Arrested Pullen Death: Lowest Human Behaviour
POLICE allege Joshua Knight and Nicole Mason, now arrested, returned to the scene of the crime and instead of helping Ian Pullen, struck him in the head with an object.
Crime Manager, Matthew Zimmerman said it is at the lowest end of the scale in terms of human behaviour.
UPDATE: Ian Pullen Death: Nicole Mason Faces Court
Yesterday at approximately 9:00am a 30-year-old year-old woman, Nicole Mason was arrested at a home on Dominion Avenue, Singleton.
The woman was taken to Singleton Hospital under police guard for an existing injury and later returned to Singleton Police Station and was charged with murder.
It follows the arrest of a 29-year-old Singleton man Joshua Knight last week, who was arrested, charged and remains before the courts.
Hunter Valley Police District Crime Manager Matthew Zimmerman said police will allege that the male and female arrested were part of a joint criminal enterprize in the murder of Mr Pullen.
“For individuals, two returned to the scene, and engaged in alleged combat, in my view, that is at the lowest end of the scale in terms of human behaviour,” Det Insp, Zimmerman said.
“Any crime of this type is devastating for the family and the community as a whole” he said.
“The family wished to pass on their extreme gratitude to those members of the community who passed information onto police,” he said.
Police will allege in court the 29-year-old man was driving a white Toyota Hilux utility when Mr Pullen was struck in the early hours of Saturday, September 29 2018 before leaving the scene, returning a short time later only to exit the vehicle and strike Mr Pullen in the head.
Joshua Knight faced court last Wednesday and Nicole Mason will appear in Muswellbrook Court today.
Investigations under Strike Force Awabakil are ongoing, with police not ruling out other arrests.
