What’s Your Beef Scone?
THE ‘What’s Your Beef’ workshop will be held in Scone next week, followed by a bus tour to Dartbrook.
The workshop aims to help farmers make easier cattle selection and marketing decisions this spring.
Independent livestock consultant, Alastair Rayner of Rayner Ag will provide timely advice on beef cattle marketing and assessment.
Ellerston manager, Robert Teague will discuss pasture system management and cattle production.
The bus will then depart for Dartbrook for a paddock trial tour with Daniel Clydsdale of Clydsdale Rural and Frank McRae of Auswest Seeds presenting agronomy packages for a range of promising new pasture and fodder crop varieties.
Alastair Rayner will lead a discussion on assessment and finishing of cattle grazing on pastures and fodder crops.
