Saturday
Merriwa Cup
- What: Annual Merriwa Cup race day. There will be fashions on the field, on-site book makers, Sky TV for interstate races, Country Women’s Association’s cafe, canteen and full bar.
- When: Gates open at 11am, first race 1:30pm, fashions on the field after race 2 at 2:05pm, Merriwa Cup 4:10pm.
- Where: Merriwa Racecourse, Flaggs Road, Merriwa. Approximately 3 kilometres out of town on Flaggs Road.
- Cost: $20 for adults and free for children under 16 years of age.
Working Dog Trial
- What: A three day event with some of the country’s best sheep dogs and trainers. Canteen available.
- When: Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
- Where: Wilson Memorial Oval, 72 – 108 Mayne Street, Murrurundi.
- Cost: Free for spectators.
Sunday
Scone Athletics Fun Run – Scone
- When: Rego: 9am; Races: 10am, Sunday, April 23
- Where: Scone Race Club, 434 Bunnan Road, Scone.
- Cost: $10 for 2km run; $20 for 5 or 10km run; $50 for family.
