Trout Season Opens

• What: Trout season opens this weekend and despite the drought there are plenty of good fishing spots in the Upper Hunter. What better way to support country communities during the drought than spending a weekend fishing, going to the local pubs and supporting local businesses.
• When: Saturday, October 5 until June long weekend 2020.
• Where: Great local rivers for trout fishing include the Omadale Brook, Moonan Brook, Stewarts Brook and several throughout the Barrington.

Pickled Goose Cafe Market Day and Family Movie

• What: Market stalls, whipmaking demonstrations, leather work, food, drinks, music and a family movie night.
• When: 1pm: Entertainment by Byg Swing, 7:30pm: Family outdoor movie.
• Where: 2 Mitchell Street, Moonan Flat.
• Bring: A gold coin donation, picnic rug or chair for the movie.
