Weather – The Week Ahead
THE Upper Hunter will experience temperatures six to eight degrees higher than average this week and there is the chance of storms on Wednesday.
The higher temperatures are due to a high pressure system over the Tasman Sea which extends a ridge of high pressure over northern New South Wales and south west of that is a trough line combining to bring hot air from the north of the continent into New South Wales.
A cold front will come through on Wednesday evening, but a high building further south will bring back warmer temperatures on Friday.
There is a 40 to 50 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms with the cold front, but any rainfall is predicted to be light and range between 0 to 9 ml.
