Weather: The week ahead

A very warm week ahead for the Upper Hunter, with temperatures reaching towards 40 degrees right across the shire.

Hot, sunny conditions with fresh northwesterly winds and a maximum temperature of 38 today in Scone.

A chance of showers predicted this evening in the Upper Hunter, before a southern change moves through early tomorrow morning, bringing slightly cooler temperatures and some relief from the heat.

Temperatures will rise again throughout the remainder of the week and there is a chance of an afternoon shower on Sunday.

The Glenbawn Dam is currently at 47  percent capacity.
