SHARON Grady, who lives 26 kilometres north of Merriwa, was astounded to find a kangaroo in her pool yesterday cooling off from the heat.

“My husband went out yesterday afternoon to start up a pump and noticed a kangaroo in the pool,” said Ms Grady.

“My eldest son and I went over to investigate and saw it quite happily just soaking in the pool,” she said.

“We didn’t know how to get him out and we thought maybe lassoing him, but then we were just stunned when he just jumped out of the shallow end,” she said.

“We thought we’d post it to take everybody’s mind off the drought for a while and give them a laugh,” Sharon Grady said.
