Veteran’s Golf: September 18

With thanks for a government grant and local volunteers the Denman golf club-house will be gaining a new roof very soon. The club is getting stronger – they just need some rain like the rest of the Upper Hunter.

Twenty-one Vets played a 2-person Ambrose event at Denman on Tuesday, Sept 18.

Locals in good form Terry Mitchell and Brian Dever (with 3 birdies) won with nett 63.25 from Tommy Thompson and Bob Lawman 65.75.

Balls went to Captain Phil Ledgerwood and Christine Smith as well as Treasurer Bob Minch and Gary Gray 68.5. The Bradman Trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley went to Bob Keating and Gerrit de Boer.
