Veteran’s Golf Report: Nov 26

THE veterans enjoyed the friendly company as usual but not the increasingly hot wind at Aberdeen Golf Club on Tuesday, November 26 for their stroke and putting event.
Jeff McKeon won the stroke with nett 67 while Les Brown won the putting with 27 putts and the wine prize kindly donated by Aberdeen Golf Club.
Second was Robert Colbert nett 69 and 3rd Les Brown 71 C/B.
The best scratch score went to Terry Mitchell with 83 and the Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Gerrit de Boer.
Balls were awarded to Terry Mitchell 71, Brian Dever 74, Tommy Thompson 75, Graham Turvey 76 and Tony Pearson 77.
Nearest the Pins: It was too windy to successfully hit many greens but Graham Boles did it on the 4th and Tommy Thompson on the 9th/18th.
It’s s busy week next week with December upon us. On Tuesday Dec 3 we play in Gary Morley’s STFD mulligan event at Muswellbrook. On Wednesday Dec 4 it’s our annual Christmas and Presentation Night at Aberdeen, 6.30 pm for 7.00 pm, free-of-charge but please tell treasurer Bob Minch you’re coming.

- Dec 17, STFD at Denman for xmas prizes;
- Dec 24, stroke and putting at Aberdeen for Xmas prizes;
