Veteran’s Golf Report: June 23

NINETEEN brave and healthy Vets played a stroke and putting event at Aberdeen Golf Club on Tuesday, June 23. It was a typical winter’s day with a chilly wind.

Lindsay Hodge had a very good day indeed, to win with nett 68. Second was Elie Raad 73 on a count-back from 3rd President Paul Gorman 73 and 4th Bob Colbert 74.
Balls went to Terry Mitchell, Frank Arena and Graham Turvey 74 and Jim Elder 75.
Best Scratch score: Terry Mitchell 83. The putting wine went to Bob Colbert with 28 putts. The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Bob Minch.
Nearest the Pins: 4th Bruce Robinson 7th Paul Constable 9th/18th Captain Phil Ledgerwood 13th and 16th Lindsay Hodge.
