Veteran’s Golf: Oct 11

On a beautiful Tuesday morning 23 Veteran golfers teed up at Scone for a stableford event.
The course was in pristine condition after the rain and a big thank you to the staff and volunteers for the hard work that goes into keeping it up to that high standard.
A special welcome to Ken Hughes from Waratah who on his Birthday decided to play with us and we hope you enjoyed the day.
The winner on the day was our Treasurer Bob Minch with a score of 42 points.
Second was Di Thorley on 41 points on a countback from Jeff McKeon also on 41 points.
Forth was local Tommy Thompson on 38 points which included a 2 a 5 on the 17th hole.
Well done Tommy.
The Ball competition went to Les Brown 37 pts, Graham Guest 36 pts, Doug Dowell also with 36 pts, Wayne Murphy 35 pts,our visitor Ken Hughes also on 35 pts and last but not least Rod Upton again with 35 pts.
Nearest the Pins went to 2nd hole Max Holz. 8th hole Brian Dever, 11th Graham Guest and the 17th went to Tommy Thompson.
All our best wishes go to Mal Bruce for a speedy recovery from his illness and we hope to see you shortly rejoining us on back at golf.
Next week we play a stableford event at Murrurundi 0800 hrs for 0830 hrs tee off.
The final of the Jack White Shield is on the 25th at Aberdeen followed by the AGM.
Membership fees are now due so please pay the Treasurer.
The cost of membership is still only $15.
The return Henbury visit is pencilled in for the November 10 at a cost of $25 which includes lunch.
There will be no bus running so own transport must be used.
Don’t forget Presentation night on December 7, $25 a head payable to Bob Minch as soon as possible.
