Veteran’s Golf: March 26

The lush Aberdeen Golf Course on Tuesday, 26^th March when 16 Vets played a stroke and putting event, was in stark contrast to last month, due to the super rain of recent days. Thank you to Doug Dowell and the other volunteers who keep the course so good.

Terry Mitchell won the day on a count back with 68 nett from Lindsay Hodge, with treasurer Bob Minch 3^rd 69.

Balls went to Graham Turvey and Ross Banks 69, Rod Auld 70 and Jock O’Connor 71.

The putting wine, kindly donated by Aberdeen Recreation Club, went to Ross Banks with 28 putts C/B. Ross also recorded the beast scratch score of 78.

The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley went to Bob Keating.

Unfortunately our president, Bruce Robinson has resigned due to travel commitments. Today, Paul Gorman was elected unanimously, in his stead. Thank you Bruce for the wonderful work you do for the Vets and welcome back Paul who was our president a few years ago.
