Veteran’s Golf: July 10

It’s always a pleasure to play at Muswellbrook Golf Club with the careful organisation of the pro Jason and then to enjoy the good value meals after the game. Twenty-five Vets came on Tuesday, July 10 for an individual and then a random aggregate stableford event.

Red Palmer blitzed the field with 46 points and Des Partridge 35 was the fortunate player to join Red for a total of 81 points for first place. Second were Ken Thornton 41 and Les Brown 26.

Balls went to Bruce Robinson 37, Graham Turvey 36, Lindsay Hodge 35, Terry Mitchell and Graham Guest 34, Buzz Pascoe and Gary Gray 33 and Gerrit de Boer 31.

The Bradman trophy went to Captain Phil Ledgerwood following his win in the Murrurundi Open last weekend.
